Superman: The Golden Age Omnibus #3
In "The Merchant of Murder," a classic tale from Superman's Golden Age, Lois Lane and Clark Kent find themselves at odds, prompting Lois to seek Superman’s counsel on reconciliation. With a surprise birthday party for Clark looming, Lois hopes to make amends by having Superman attend—but Clark, unaware of the danger, hires a look-alike to stand in for the Man of Steel, not knowing the man is a criminal in disguise. Written by Don C. Cameron and illustrated by Ed Dobrotka with inks by George Roussos, this story captures the charm and tension of early Superman adventures. The cover, a striking portrait by Darwyn Cooke, perfectly captures the mood of intrigue and heroism.
