Jimmy Olsen scrambles desperately across a rooftop clutching a CONFIDENTIAL folder, while behind him a red-suited Kryptonian hero and an armored, gun-wielding figure in blue and gold clash in the Metropolis skyline — it's a wonderfully kinetic cover by Pere Pérez that puts Superman's pal squarely in the middle of some very dangerous company. Written by James Robinson with interior art by Bernard Chang, this 2009 special carries the tantalizing story title "The Death of Jimmy Olsen," which suggests the stakes for our freckle-faced photojournalist couldn't be higher.
