The cover of this April 1963 DC issue tells you everything you need to know about the wild ride inside: Jimmy Olsen stands coolly in his green suit, wearing a glowing futuristic helmet, while a kneeling Superman is struck by a red Kryptonite ray and cries out that he's growing horns like a devil and feeling helpless. The speech bubbles make it deliciously clear that the "Helmet of Hate" has somehow reversed Superman's strength and goodness, putting the Man of Steel at his pal's mercy.
