Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #140
In "Superman in Kandor, Part 1: Invasion of the Mystery Super-Men!", Jimmy Olsen finds himself whisked away to the mysterious world of Gion-El, where he encounters eerie duplicates of himself—each a past transformation brought to life. Written by Jerry Siegel and illustrated with timeless precision by Curt Swan, with inks by George Klein, this 1971 adventure sees Jimmy outwitted by a clever ruse, only to be revealed as the true test of his worth by the Legionnaires, who then welcome him into the 30th century as an honorary member. The cover, by Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson, captures the moment with classic flair.
