Jimmy and his friends stop Julian at the airport and he is arrested for his crimes, but Jimmy and Janie realize that they are now penniless. However, evidence surfaces that the Olsens and Luthors are related by blood, and therefore Jimmy and his sister have access to, and some control over, Luthor's fortune, which Jimmy leverages to get Luthor to confess that he was behind everything Julian did. Jimmy also buys the sinking Daily Planet with his newfound wealth, becoming its publisher.
