In "What Lies Beneath," Superman and Lana Lang encounter Queen Kokya of Subterranea, a realm where the underground inhabitants rely on a strange, unsettling power source. With the Ghost Soldier watching from the shadows and the surface world suddenly at odds with the Subterraneans' hidden practices, an uneasy alliance forms when they discover the truth behind the glowing lights—only to face betrayal the moment they step into the open.

In "Deep Freeze," Superman finds himself caught between duty and compassion when he confronts Ghost Soldier over a strange outbreak of mutating subterranean creatures exposed to sunlight. As tensions rise, Ukur arrives with a surprising demand for Baka, while Lana Lang’s search for a crucial power source leads to a dead end—prompting Superman to pursue Ghost Soldier’s elusive leader, Harrow.
