Action Comics #29
In "Deep Freeze," Superman faces off against the enigmatic Ghost Soldier over a strange threat: subterranean creatures mutating in the sunlight, forcing a moral clash over how to handle the danger. Written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Aaron Kuder, with inks by Kuder and Jed Dougherty, this 2014 issue delivers a tense, character-driven showdown where even the most well-intentioned actions have unforeseen consequences. The cover by Aaron Kuder captures the moment’s intensity, setting the stage for a story where answers are elusive and the line between protector and threat blurs.
