A delightful 1950 DC gem, this 52-big-pages issue puts Lois Lane front and center — quite literally — as the cover by Wayne Boring and Stan Kaye shows her at a classroom chalkboard, book in hand, while Superman himself stands beside her as if he's the one attending class. The assembled students in the foreground, the playful chalkboard message teasing "Professor Lois Lane!," and Superman's grinning presence give this cover a wonderfully warm, comedic energy that sets the tone perfectly. With a story by Edmond Hamilton and art by Al Plastino inside, it's a charming snapshot of the Silver Age Superman universe at its most inventive.
