Superman surges forward with fists flying against what appears to be a massive piece of Luthor's battle machinery, cape streaming behind him, while a figure — seemingly held or caught in the wreckage — dangles in the background, all rendered in Klaus Janson's kinetic cover art. The cover dialogue crackles with finality: "You've tried to destroy me for the LAST time, Luthor!" — a promise that the Man of Steel has reached his limit with his greatest nemesis.
