Superman #38
Part four of the "Super Sons of Tomorrow" crossover arrives with a cover by Ivan Reis and Oclair Albert that pulls no punches — a menacing armored figure called Savior dominates the foreground, aiming a smoking weapon while a young Jon Kent in his Superboy costume looks on with unease behind him. Photographs of other heroes are crossed out in red behind them, making the tagline "Vengeance Has a New Name… Savior!" feel genuinely unsettling. Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's run continues to find fresh dramatic tension in Jon's world, and Sergio Dávila's interiors promise to deliver on every bit of that ominous energy.
