Superman #35

Part three of "Imperius Lex" arrives in this January 2018 installment, taking the Superman title to a world of flame and unmistakably alien terrain. Patrick Gleason's cover artwork places Superboy — goggles on, cape torn, wearing the iconic S-shield — astride a massive armored beast, its horned and chained head filling the foreground with imposing weight, while a second armored creature looms at the right edge. There's a striking sense of a young hero navigating a very dangerous, very unfamiliar landscape, and with Tomasi, Gleason, Moore, Segovia, and Ribeiro all contributing, this "DC Universe Rebirth" chapter looks like a genuinely compelling ride.
