Superman #33
Superman #33 marks the arrival of the creative team of Geoff Johns, John Romita Jr., Klaus Janson, and Laura Martin on the Man of Steel's ongoing New 52 series. The cover by Romita Jr. and Janson is a striking low-angle shot of Superman single-handedly holding up a massive piece of wreckage against a stormy sky, his eyes burning red with heat vision as debris rains around him — a figure of raw, barely-contained power rendered in dramatic shadow. "The Men of Tomorrow" arc is off to a visually arresting start, and this second chapter already carries a palpable sense of scale and intensity.
