“The Secret Revealed!”

In "The Secret Revealed!", John Byrne's gripping tale of identity and deception sees Lex Luthor push his obsession to new extremes, using psychological manipulation and high-stakes coercion to uncover the truth behind Clark Kent's dual life. With the help of a compromised computer system and relentless pressure on those close to Superman, Luthor closes in—only to find the evidence too illogical to accept. Byrne’s sharp storytelling and dynamic art, with inks by Terry Austin and Keith Williams, bring a tense, personal stakes to the battle of wits, while the cover by Byrne captures the moment of revelation with chilling precision.

Lex Luthor uses every method available to him to learn the connection between Clark Kent and Superman, including drugging Ma and Pa Kent and torturing Lana Lang. The computer calculates that Clark Kent is Superman, which Lex feels is illogical, and so he has the computer data deleted and Amanda McCoy is fired.
