Superman #19

Part three of "Superman Reborn" arrives with one of 2017's most unsettling cover images: a skeletal, dark-hooded figure wielding a scythe-like axe drifts through a cosmic, star-filled void, its bandaged legs dangling beneath swirling robes. Flanking this ominous presence is a vertical strip of Superman comic panels — glimpses of the Man of Steel's history rendered as though pages from reality itself are being peeled away. Patrick Gleason's cover art, inked by Gleason himself with colors by John Kalisz, frames the crossover event with a real sense of cosmic dread and mystery that pulls you straight into the story.
