The "Millennium Giants" crossover comes to Superman's corner of the DC Universe in this 1998 installment, and the cover by Ron Frenz and Joe Rubinstein makes the scale of the threat immediately clear — an enormous stone fist dominates the image as a fiery streak and an icy blue streak of energy cross before it, while Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, and the Flash scramble across the rocky surface below. It's a genuinely striking ensemble piece that sells the sense of heroes rallying against something far larger than any one of them. Dan Jurgens, Frenz, and Joe Rubinstein were firing on all cylinders with "Dual Purpose!" as part of this late-'90s event.
