Une femme aux pouvoirs magnétiques nommée Repulse tue presque Aura (de Superboy et les Ravers). Pendant ce temps, Superman sauve un petit village d'Afrique de pillards et apporte ensuite le petit-déjeuner à Lois. Une « bagarre » éclate à Metropolis entre Repulse et le Dr Polaris, avec Jimmy et M. Schuman couvrant l'histoire. Superman intervient, emmène le Dr Polaris et lui dit que Repulse n'existe pas. Le Dr Polaris attaque alors Superman, s'exprimant sous le nom de Repulse.
