Superman #117
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeSomething has gone terribly wrong with Superman's vision — and a Metropolitan Bank teller is paying the price. Curt Swan and Stan Kaye's cover captures a wonderfully strange predicament: instead of melting the bank vault door open, Superman's x-ray vision is firing in reverse, blasting the massive steel door with freezing cold and coating it in ice and icicles, while a bewildered bystander pleads for his trapped teller. This 1957 ten-cent issue features the story "Clark Kent, Man of Mystery," with Otto Binder writing and Wayne Boring and Stan Kaye handling the interior art — a fine creative lineup for a tale that promises plenty of super-powered surprises.
