Few team-ups look quite this good: the cover by Frenz and Rubinstein places Superman and Plastic Man side by side, the Man of Steel looking understandably uneasy as his elastic partner's arm spirals playfully upward in a corkscrew stretch. It's a warm, witty pairing that perfectly sets the tone for "The Treasure Hunt Caper," with Plastic Man's goggled grin suggesting he's already enjoying the adventure far more than Superman is. Jurgens, Ordway, Frenz, and Rubinstein bring an appealing lightheartedness to this 1996 team-up that's hard to resist.
