Part of the sprawling 2014 "Edge of Spider-Verse" crossover, this issue drops the Superior Spider-Man into desperate straits — pinned against a rocky ledge, tattered and gun in hand, while a menacing figure in a military coat and steampunk helmet looms overhead with a glowing blade, lightning crackling across a purple sky. Below them, a churning horde of skeletal figures makes the odds look grim indeed. Giuseppe Camuncoli and Roberto Poggi deliver a cover that's all tension and atmosphere, with Christos Gage and the creative team promising a multiversal chapter that pushes Otto Octavius's Spider-Man to his absolute limit.
