Supergirl asks the criminal Doctor Luzano (whom she freed from prison in Part One) to use Tektites to develop a cure for a young boy's cancer. Luzano uses the Tektites to give himself super powers instead and attacks her and Resurrection Man. Supergirl defeats Luzano, then flies the wounded Resurrection Man away, hoping that his latest power can be used to cure the boy. They are intercepted by Superman, who reveals that the boy is already dead.
