Supergirl #28
Part of the New 52's "Red Daughter of Krypton" arc, this April 2014 issue presents a Kara Zor-El completely consumed by Red Lantern rage — her eyes blazing with crimson energy, hair wild, mouth open in a furious cry as crackling red constructs surge from her fists toward a glowing Red Lantern ring in the foreground. The cover by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Cam Smith is an up-close, kinetic portrait that makes Supergirl's barely-contained fury feel genuinely unsettling. With Tony Bedard writing and Yıldıray Çınar on interior art, this is a vivid chapter in one of the New 52's more emotionally charged Supergirl runs.
