Supergirl #19
Part of the 2007 "The Death of Superman Again!" storyline, this issue finds Supergirl standing fierce and bloodied over a battered, fallen Superman amid a field of rubble — a striking cover image that immediately raises questions about what could bring the Man of Steel so low. Alé Garza and Richard Friend deliver a raw, emotionally charged cover that puts Kara front and center, cape billowing, fists clenched, as the weight of the moment registers across her face. Writer Joe Kelly and artist Alé Garza bring real intensity to this chapter of Supergirl's ongoing series.

Pariah confronts Supergirl, who’s still in space. He tells her he is drawn to catastrophic events, and he was brought back from death by Dark Angel to generate the illusion of what could happen with the phantoms on Earth. He tells her that she will be the key to future events, including an upcoming great disaster. He then leaves her with hope. She finally returns to Earth, and discusses things with Boomer, Grace, Cassie, Power Girl, Streaky, and Sarah. She even gets flowers from Power Boy, but still hates him. She finally gets the courage to have a talk with Clark.
