Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes: The Early Years #[nn]
This volume collects the earliest Silver Age adventures of Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes, reprinting stories from Adventure Comics and Superboy that introduced the futuristic team and its young members. Focusing on the team's formative years, it showcases classic tales by writer Jerry Siegel and artists like John Forte and Curt Swan, highlighting the Legion's origins and early missions in the 30th century.
In "Playing Hooky," the founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes—Superboy, Chameleon Boy, and Saturn Girl—team up with the Science Police to stop the rogue Zaryan from stealing advanced robotics. Written by Paul Levitz and illustrated by Kevin Sharpe, with inks by Marlo Alquiza, colors by Blond, and letters by Travis Lanham, this story captures the early days of the team with all their growing pains. Saturn Girl’s determination to prove herself in the field, even after a mission gone wrong, sets the stage for pivotal choices that will shape her path ahead—cover by Scott Clark and David Beaty.
