In "Playing Hooky II," Ray Palmer—still reeling from the fallout of his past—tracks down his uncle David, who reveals the hidden history of the Colony, a secretive group devoted to safeguarding humanity. With the help of David’s hidden refuge in the microscopic world, Ray finds temporary sanctuary, but the Colony’s relentless pursuit soon follows, forcing them into a desperate race through a realm where every molecule could be a trap. Written by Jeff Lemire and brought to life with intricate detail by Mahmud Asrar, with inks by John Dell, colors by Pete Pantazis, and letters by Sal Cipriano, the issue’s cover by Scott Clark and David Beaty captures the tension of a world unseen.
