Superboy #98

The cover by Steve Dillon drops Superboy right into the middle of a packed diner brawl, surrounded by a rough crowd that includes a menacing bald man wielding a baseball bat, a woman crackling with blue energy, and plenty of other colorful bystanders — all while our hero clutches a menu like it's his only shield. The playful title "High Noon at the Greasy Spoon! (Beware the Tortellini!)" promises the kind of offbeat, street-level adventure that made this era of the series so entertaining. Written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Dan DiDio with art by John McCrea, issue #98 looks like a wonderfully chaotic serving of superhero action with a side of diner drama.
