Superboy #9
Superboy #9 (July–Aug. 1950) promises 52 big pages of adventure, and John Sikela's cover sets the stage with a wonderfully wild scene: the Boy of Steel soars in pursuit of a costumed figure on horseback — none other than Humpty Dumpty, the Hobby Robber — while a pair of tall-masted sailing ships float on the water below, hinting at the peculiar, time-spanning mischief afoot. It's a charming snapshot of early DC storytelling, where villains with nursery-rhyme flair could make even classic tall ships feel like props in a super-powered caper.
