Superboy stands front and center in his signature leather jacket and Superman shield, fists raised and expression steely as media cameras and microphones swarm around him — the cover tagline "Meltdown: The Cure!" promising real stakes in this fifth chapter of the arc. Ramon Bernado's pencils and Doug Hazlewood's inks give the scene a charged, kinetic energy, with the clone hero looking every bit like someone who's had enough of the spotlight being thrust upon him. Ron Marz and Paul Ryan's 1997 series was hitting its stride at this point, and this issue looks like a satisfying payoff for readers who'd been following the "Meltdown" story.
