The Toyman is back and he means business — this February 1981 issue of Super Friends promises "deadly new games to play" as the grinning villain stands center stage, toy mallet raised, with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and their allies charging in from both sides while armed toy soldiers bear down from above. Ramona Fradon and Bob Smith deliver a cover that captures the gleeful menace of a villain who turns playthings into peril, framing the whole confrontation with the Toyman's taunting declaration: "Let the battle begin!"
