Super Comics #79
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis December 1944 Dell anthology puts Dick Tracy front and center — literally — with the square-jawed detective looming large against a city skyline, his green fedora and red-striped tie making him an unmistakable presence. The yellow banner across the top reminds readers they're getting a terrific lineup of strip favorites: Dick Tracy, Smitty, Tiny Tim, Harold Teen, and Winnie Winkle all under one ten-cent cover. It's a wonderful snapshot of mid-1940s comics culture, when anthology titles like this delivered a full roster of beloved newspaper strip characters in a single satisfying package.
