Submarine Attack #25

This December 1960 Charlton title puts readers right in the thick of naval warfare, with cover art by Sam Glanzman and Dick Giordano depicting two sailors manning a deck gun amid incoming fire — one grimly warning "One of them will nail us for sure!" while his grinning crewmate fires back with the fatalistic reply, "Nobody lives Forever!" A lower panel teases the story "Nobody Lives Forever," showing a submarine and an exploding warship locked in deadly combat on churning seas. It's a tense, nicely composed cover that captures the dangerous camaraderie of submarine warfare, with interior work from the reliable team of writer Joe Gill and artist Charles Nicholas.
