The cover by Sam Glanzman puts you right in the heat of a surface battle, with submarine U.S.S. 165 riding rough seas while a warship blazes and takes fire in the background beneath a dramatic red sky — crew members visible on the conning tower and an American flag snapping in the wind above them. The exchange of dialogue says it all: "We can't! Our only chance is to stay and… FIGHT IT OUT!"
