Kid Carter and his pal Corky stumble onto a sinister scheme when they notice a comic strip featuring real street locations—and then a real bank robbery occurs exactly as depicted in the story! Suspecting the comic itself is being used to communicate robbery plans to a criminal gang, the teenage detectives race to the publisher's office to examine next week's episode before the crooks can strike again. Their quick thinking and sharp eyes expose the culprit and foil the plot.

Professor Hinton's expedition presses deeper into dangerous territory in search of the legendary city of Ifstaal, while the ruthless crime boss Treadgold shadows them, eager to seize whatever riches the lost city might hold.
