This November 1959 Charlton anthology packs three tantalizing teasers onto one cover, and the effect is genuinely arresting. Dominating the left panel is a wild-haired witch in a dark coat and hat, riding a broom through a stormy, rain-lashed sky above a submerged car — the main story, "They Called Her a Witch!" To the right, two inset vignettes round out the promise: a wide-eyed blonde woman stares out with unsettling intensity for "The Inexplicable," while two figures silhouetted against a blazing sun hint at cosmic dread in "The Threat from Beyond." With cover art by a team including Bill Montes, Bill Molno, Matt Baker, Vince Colletta, Sal Trapani, and Jon D'Agostino, and interior work from writer Joe Gill and artist Bill Fraccio, this ten-cent issue delivers a satisfying slice of late-'50s suspense anthology fun.
