“Cardiac attaque”

In "Cardiac attaque," Justin Hammer pulls strings from the shadows, using Silver Sable to manipulate Spidey into targeting the unpredictable Cardiac—only to then send Boomerang after Spidey himself. Meanwhile, Eddie Brock’s release from prison is just the beginning, as the Venom symbiote leaves behind a fragment to awaken something far darker in the cell next door. Written by David Michelinie and illustrated by Mark Bagley, with inks by Randy Emberlin and colors by Bob Sharen, the issue’s cover by Paul Ryan captures the tension with sharp, striking detail.

Through Silver Sable (and without his knowledge of who the real boss is), Justin Hammer hires Spidey to take down Cardiac and then hires Boomerang to take down Spidey. Eddie Brock is freed from prison by the Venom symbiote, but as he leaves his cell, a little drip from the costume stays behind to keep Cletus Kasady company.
