“A Finer World 2 of 3”

Warren Ellis, Bryan Hitch, and Paul Neary bring the second chapter of "A Finer World" to StormWatch with this March 1998 Image Comics issue. The cover, inked by Neary over Hitch's pencils, depicts a diverse squad of StormWatch operatives — including a green-scaled figure, a black-costumed hero, a white-haired powerhouse in gold and white, a blue energy being, a red-suited member, and an orange-clad fighter — surging forward against the looming, mechanically-augmented face of a massive purple-hued antagonist that dominates the background. It's a confident, wide-scope composition that makes the team's desperate charge feel both urgent and exhilarating.
