Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K. Pérez's Stillwater continues with "The Greatest Burden," and the cover by Pérez (colored by Mike Spicer) sets an immediately unsettling tone. A dark-cloaked figure with pale, mask-like features stands alone deep in a forest streaked with blood-red, flanked by two ghostly white entities bearing crimson, spiraling eyes — whatever waits in Stillwater, it clearly isn't welcoming. This Image/Skybound series has a striking visual language from the outset, and this second chapter promises the dread is only deepening.
