Natasha survives the hit-and-run, but shortly thereafter, her mother, Blondell, is attacked. Jemahl finds out that Amalgam, under orders from Colonel Weston, has been helping Jemahl's gang leader, Cowboy, instigate the attacks on John Henry's family. Jemahl challenges Cowboy to a fight while they are both on the drug Tar. Steel stops Jemahl and Cowboy from fighting, and learns the truth about the attacks from Jemahl.
