The one-word cover blurb says it all — "Pressure!" — and Tom Lyle's art delivers exactly that, with Starman thrusting a glowing, energy-charged fist straight at the viewer while two intense women flank him on either side, their expressions every bit as charged as his power. The small inset in the corner shows the hero in full costume, a nice contrast to the close-up tension dominating the main image. Roger Stern, Tom Lyle, and Scott Hanna bring that same kinetic energy to the January 1990 issue, making this a striking entry in DC's late-'80s/early-'90s run.
