Starblast #1

Marvel's 1994 cosmic crossover event kicks off here with Starblast #1, promising "Raiders of Galaxies Wrecking Havoc on Earth" right on the cover. Claudio Castellini's painted-style cover illustration packs in an intimidating crowd of alien menaces — a massive fanged reptilian creature, a hulking armored behemoth, a grotesque fleshy monstrosity, and several other extraterrestrial threats looming over a long-haired caped figure who appears to be at the center of the storm, energy beams converging around him. With Mark Gruenwald writing and Herb Trimpe on interior art, this series looks to deliver a full-throttle collision between Earth and the wider Marvel cosmos.
