Star Wars: Vader's Quest #2

Part two of four in this 1999 Dark Horse miniseries, and the cover by Dave Gibbons (with colors by Angus McKie) makes a striking impression: a dark-robed, hooded figure crackles with Force energy at the center, his outstretched hand glowing with an eerie light against a purple, cityscape backdrop. In the foreground, a group of distinct alien characters — two green-skinned figures, a stocky human, and an ornately dressed alien dignitary — face the looming threat, each rendered with vivid personality. Writer Darko Macan and artist Dave Gibbons are clearly building something with real tension and atmosphere across this four-issue arc.
