Star Wars: Republic #55
In "The Battle of Jabiim, Part 1 of 4: Rainmakers," General Kenobi and his First Lieutenant, Anakin Skywalker, are thrust into a brutal campaign on the perpetually rain-lashed planet Jabiim, where the Separatist cause has taken root among the locals. With the terrain turning their advance into a nightmare—mud swallowing their transports, communications failing, and air support grounded—Obi-Wan must push forward despite the odds. Written by Haden Blackman and illustrated by Brian Ching, with inks by Victor Llamas and colors by Joe Wayne, this pivotal chapter sets a tense, rain-drenched stage for a desperate struggle. The cover, by Kev Walker, captures the storm’s oppressive weight.

General Kenobi and his First Lieutenant, Anakin Skywalker, are transferred to a post on the rain-soaked planet Jabiim. The fighting is fierce and the vast majority of the locals have sided with the Separatists. Obi-Wan leads what he hopes will be a crippling attack on the enemy, but the environment is against the Jedi and his clone troops--the rain won't let up, their war machines bog down in the mud, and air support is non-existent.
