A brooding Darth Vader looms large in the background as Luke Skywalker, dressed in dark clothing, stands at the center of the cover alongside a hooded, staff-wielding companion and a trusty R2-D2 at his side — the tagline "The Dark Side of Luke Skywalker" setting a genuinely unsettling tone. Leinil Francis Yu's cover composition does a great job placing Luke between the shadow of his father and the uncertainty of his own path, rendered against a fiery orange sky. Greg Pak, Raffaele Ienco, and Federico Blee's "Son of Vader" arc continues to explore one of Star Wars' most compelling relationships, and this forty-eighth issue looks like a compelling chapter.
