Darth Vader looms over a prone figure lying on a medical platform in this quietly unsettling cover by Travis Charest — the contrast between the Dark Lord's imposing silhouette and the still, vulnerable form beneath his outstretched hand makes for a genuinely gripping image. Part five of the twelve-part "Vector" crossover, this 2008 Dark Horse issue promises that "ancient evil" is very much unbound, suggesting the stakes are only growing higher. With interior art by Douglas Wheatley and colors by Dave McCaig, it's a strong chapter in one of the more ambitious Star Wars storytelling events of its era.
