A desert battlefield erupts into chaos on this May 1986 entry in Marvel's long-running Star Wars series, with a large, pale winged creature dominating the foreground as blaster fire crackles all around it. A young hero — lightsaber blazing — fights alongside armed companions against what appears to be a frantic, close-quarters skirmish on sandy terrain. Penciled by Cynthia Martin and inked by Ken Steacy, the cover crackles with kinetic energy, and with a story titled "The Party's Over," it's clear the galaxy far, far away is about to get a lot more complicated.
