In Spyke #3 (1993), written by Mike Baron and illustrated by Bill Reinhold, a desperate rescue in the frozen wastes of Pandrakon sees Nomi and her Snark pull Spyke from the ice—only for him to learn that Sonia Mowry is Nomi’s sister. After a brutal confrontation with the Duke of Krost, Spyke is hurled to the frozen realm of Vera, where he makes a shocking choice before being sent back to Earth. The cover by Bill Reinhold captures the moment’s icy intensity.
