Spooky #93

Harvey Comics' "tuff little ghost" is in fine form here — Spooky, derby hat firmly in place, squares off with a snarling red monster on a bold yellow cover that practically leaps off the page. The creature looks plenty intimidating, but Spooky's determined expression makes it clear he's not backing down, even as a cup of water goes flying across the bottom of the scene — a sly nod to the story inside, "The Disappearing Water." This August 1966 issue is a charming slice of Harvey humor that reminds you why Spooky earned the "tuff" in his title.
