“Twisted”

Spider-Woman crouches in a fighting stance on this December 1982 cover, her red costume and flowing blue hair striking against the ominous green-tinged shadows cast by the looming, long-limbed figure of Daddy Longlegs above her — the tagline says it all: "He's tall, dark, and deadly!" Cover pencils by Brian Postman with inks by Joe Rubinstein give the composition a genuinely unsettling atmosphere, with Daddy Longlegs' elongated arms and dark silhouette practically engulfing the entire background. It's a tense, well-crafted showdown setup for this Ann Nocenti–written chapter of The All-New Spider-Woman.

writer Ann Nocenti · artist Brian Postman · inker Carl Potts · letterer Rick Parker · colorist Ben Sean · cover Brian Postman, Joe Rubinstein
