Spider-Woman #40
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis October 1981 issue throws Spider-Woman headlong into a high-altitude brawl, and the cover by Steve Leialoha captures the chaos perfectly — she and a green-clad figure are sent crashing through a plate-glass window alongside the snarling, tiger-headed Flying Tiger, shards exploding outward against a cityscape backdrop. The tagline "She's Just Met… The Flying Tiger!" sets up what looks like a ferocious and disorienting encounter with this fearsome, winged feline villain. With Chris Claremont scripting and Leialoha handling both pencils and inks on the interior, this late run of the series delivers the sharp Marvel action fans were after in 1981.
