Spider-Woman #14

Spider-Woman dangles a furry-costumed villain — who appears to be the Porcupine — upside-down directly over the gaping, long-tongued maw of a massive green creature on this striking cover by Javier Rodríguez. Jessica Drew looks fiercely in control, web in hand, as the composition turns a tense standoff into something almost darkly comedic. With Dennis Hopeless writing and Veronica Fish on art, colored by Rachelle Rosenberg, issue #14 of this 2017 run is the kind of visually inventive package that makes this series a pleasure to follow.
