Spider-Man: Spider's Shadow #2

Part two of five of Chip Zdarsky and Pasqual Ferry's "What If?" miniseries arrives with a cover by Phil Noto that's equal parts haunting and tense — the black-suited Spider-Man looms on the left in cold blue shadow while a frightened young woman clutches a knife on the right, bathed in an ominous red glow. The split composition tells you everything you need to know about the dangerous territory this story is exploring, with Matt Hollingsworth's colors on the interior matched by Noto's masterful use of contrast on the cover.
